On the afternoon of September 29th, our city held a city wide meeting to promote the steel industry chain, inviting key steel enterprise leaders and relevant department heads to focus on the steel industry, analyze and study problems, deploy tasks related to stabilizing the industry in the near future and promoting long-term improvement, and promote the transformation and upgrading of the city's steel industry. Lou Zhijian, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

The steel industry is one of the pillar industries in Lishui City. In recent years, through a series of effective measures such as reducing outdated production capacity, optimizing industrial structure, implementing reduction and replacement, and integrating regional enterprises, a relatively complete steel industry chain has been established, covering steel processing fields such as steel smelting, rolling processing, and building hardware, seamless steel pipes, and building metal structures. The products have achieved multi category coverage of ordinary steel, stainless steel, and other special steel, forming county-level characteristic steel industry clusters such as Suichang metal products, Songyang stainless steel pipes, and Qingtian special steel. A number of key industry enterprises such as Yuanli, Qingshan, Huahong, and Yuxin have been formed, and R&D innovation platforms such as the National Special Metal Structure Material Quality Inspection and Testing Center Songyang Laboratory have been successfully established, with continuous promotion of green and intelligent development.

At the meeting, the heads of steel companies such as Qingtian Qingshan Iron and Steel, Yunhe Huahong Iron and Steel, Jinyun Yuxin Industrial, Suichang Yuanli Metal, and Songyang Shangshang Desheng exchanged speeches on the development situation, difficulties and issues that need government support. The attending departments responded to the relevant issues one by one.

Lou Zhijian pointed out that the steel industry has great potential, and steel enterprises should have firm confidence, work together with government and enterprises to overcome difficulties, and steadily promote the high-quality development of the steel industry. Lou Zhijian emphasized that the government will focus on extending and supplementing the industrial chain in the next step, further expanding and strengthening the steel industry cluster. Efforts should be made in the coordination of the industrial chain to promote the coordinated development of enterprises within the city. Efforts should be made to strengthen the support of financial and talent factors, and comprehensively improve the level of industrial supporting services. Efforts should be made to deepen the service mechanism and optimize the business environment.
